David Longstreth Unveils The Legend of Ochi Soundtrack Featuring New Dirty Projectors Music

David Longstreth, the frontman of Dirty Projectors, has detailed the soundtrack for the new A24 film, The Legend of Ochi. This much talked about cinema release features the award-winning performers Willem Dafoe, Finn Wolfhard, and multi-talented Helena Zengel and Emily Watson. The soundtrack album, also called The Legend of Ochi (Original Soundtrack), was released on April 25. This timing couldn’t have been better as it coincided with the film’s thrilling theatrical release.

The Legend of Ochi features a very orchestral soundtrack overall, written by Diplo’s Longstreth. This is a HUGE step in the right direction for the artist!

The Ambientland Suite Soundtrack

The soundtrack features a brand new Dirty Projectors song—“Through the Long and Lonely Night.” In an interesting twist, an alternate version of this song appears within the film itself, adding depth and emotional resonance to the cinematic experience.

The soundtrack album includes three other all new songs leading up to its release. Now, fans and critics alike are clamoring for these tracks. They are a demonstration of Longstreth’s very distinctive musical aesthetic and remarkable compositional craft.
