Miley Cyrus Unveils New Songs Prelude and Something Beautiful Ahead of Upcoming Album Release

Miley Cyrus has shared two new songs, “Prelude” and “Something Beautiful,” as part of her highly anticipated follow-up album to 2023’s “Endless Summer Vacation.” The new album, “Something Beautiful,” is due out on May 30 through Columbia Records.

Cyrus reunited with a star-studded lineup of producers for the ambitious project. Something Beautiful was produced by Panos Cosmatos, Nick Spicer, Nate Bolotin and Aram Tertzakian. With each producer expected to have a markedly different sensibility, the stakes are high. Combined, they point to a rich sonic palette that matches Cyrus’s ever-changing artistic style.

The album will be paired with cinematic visuals, each also helmed by Cyrus, in collaboration with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter. These visuals aim to enhance the listening experience, offering fans a glimpse into the themes and emotions expressed in the songs. One important element in the service of this rollicking genre lesson is the sumptuous cinematography for the album, which comes courtesy of visual stylist Benoît Debie.

Alongside “Something Beautiful,” the song “Prelude” is a fantastic artful expression of what makes Cyrus’s musicality unique. Written by Miley Cyrus, Shawn Everett (produced by Shawn Everett). Alongside Michael Pollack, Jonathan Rado, and Maxx Morando, they worked imaginatively and closely to realize it. With each producer helping to create the song’s unique sound—something Cyrus calls an evolution of her past work.

“but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.” – Miley Cyrus

These songs are just the latest chapter of an unexpected triumph of Cyrus’s career. She continues to challenge the status quo and fearlessly venture into uncharted creative territory. We can’t wait to see how these ones will play into the larger narrative of her next full-length.
