The actress, 29, explained that her initial elation at being cast in the historic role was swiftly replaced with feeling nervous after hearing she’d be making history. “I was very excited and then immediately nervous. I had big shoes to fill,” she shared, acknowledging the legacy of the character.
Brosnahan’s husband received some serious love as a possible future Superman. This concept grew from her incredible, powerful, otherwise unseen reading skills off-screen in auditions. She participated in a number of these underground ton experiments that took place in Los Angeles. This experience brought her closer to the project and to her cast members. Looking back on the experience, she recalled, “The tests we filmed in Los Angeles featured such an incredible team of creatives…They are all truly passionate about this project and comic books, which is who you want working on these legendary characters and properties!”
