Now that this New York-based rock band has reunited … again! In a post-rock wheeltapping, they just put out their 6th album, Raspberry Moon, on June 20, 2023. This album marks a significant milestone for the band as it represents their first true full-band effort, showcasing their growth and evolution since their debut.
The band has been hard at work while on the road backing up Raspberry Moon, skipping from city to city all across North America. Featured stops on their tour include incredible localities across Chicago, Grand Rapids, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Buffalo. There’s a lot for fans to be excited about! Hotline TNT is joining the stage then with Hippo Campus on this tour, making for a dangerously exciting show in store for students. That’s not all — the band will share the stage with Slow Pulp on select dates, adding to an incredibly vermillion-hued concert lineup.
Friday’s release of Raspberry Moon serves as a contrapositive to Hotline TNT’s full-length that preceded it, Cartwheel, which came out in January of this year. Though officially a full band, much of the band’s debut album Nineteen in Love was created by Will Anderson individually, and came out in 2021. For the first time with Raspberry Moon, the band got to work with producer Amos Pitsch. Together, they created a distinct sonic fingerprint that reflects the hard work of every band member.
The first single off the forthcoming record, “Julia’s War”, has been turning heads since its debut. It’s already getting rave reviews from all quarters! The song’s release has set the tone for what listeners can expect from the rest of the album and has solidified Hotline TNT’s place in the contemporary rock landscape.
Hotline TNT’s dedication to their art shines through as they prove track by track that they’re not done growing and fleshing out their sonic palette. The group has just put out their second Third Man longplayer. With a heavy band calendar approaching in support of their debut EP, they’re primed to make a lasting stamp on the music business.
