Hoda Kotb Celebrates Family Time with Daughters and Sister in Heartwarming Getaway

Hoda Kotb has renovated a cozy family beach retreat. She spends time with her two daughters, Hope Catherine and Haley Joy, and her sister Hala. Kotb posted about the memorable meetup to her Instagram followers. Most importantly, it solidifies her love of family and magical approach to life. In her post, she documented that moment beautifully with touching words. She captioned that moment, “Full moon… full hearts xo,” a poetic reflection of the happiness she finds in this wonderful experience.

Haley Joy was born in February 2017, so she just turned 9. Hope Catherine was adopted in April 2019 and is 6 years old today. Both girls have depthless love and sewed endless delightful chaos to Kotb’s life. Given her battle with breast cancer—she was diagnosed in 2007, with treatment leaving her unable to conceive—this happiness is particularly significant to her. Kotb often expresses deep affection for her daughters, famously stating, “You didn’t come from Mommy’s tummy, you came from my heart.”

Kotb and her daughters recently shared glimpses of their sweet relationship on social media. They even appeared on her last Today show broadcast on January 10, in a surprise appearance. Joined by Kermit the Frog, the sweet family moment resonated with viewers, further emphasizing the love that permeates their lives.

Kotb canceled her engagement to ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman in early 2022. Even with this switch, she is still committed to co-parenting Haley and Hope. Her family unit is tight, though, with Kotb doing all she can to make sure that her new daughters know how much they’re loved. She hasn’t stopped singing “Rainbow Connection” to them at bedtime, a mother-daughter tradition that only deepens their tight-knit connection.

Kotb is already making a behind-the-scenes move to a lesser role at NBC after her Today exit in September 2024. Perhaps most importantly, she looks forward to spending more real quality time with family and friends. She happens to be a beloved television figure. Yet her devotion to her family only emphasizes her resolve in raising her daughters.
