Renowned fashion stylist Law Roach has solidified his influence in the fashion industry with the launch of his styling course, the School of Style. Near the end of 2024, Roach returned to Penn to take the position of Professor. He’s well-known for his groundbreaking work and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of fashion lovers. Recently, actress and fashionista extraordinaire Zendaya stopped by the Los Angeles headquarters of the School of Style. This is what led her to becoming an instructional aid, support and guidance through Roach’s commitment to fashion education.
While touring around the beautiful city, Zendaya turned heads with her signature style. She was usually unforgettable in her trademark red-bottomed Christian Louboutin So Kates. Yet she’s made these very five-inch high heels a personal signature. They’re the ideal medium for dramatic statements, in the same way we will likely see from brands such as Louis Vuitton and Valentino during these marquee events. Christian Louboutin shoes have been seen on Zendaya and others. She has more than 40 pairs in her collection so far!
In a surprising move, Zendaya made that change herself. Instead of her standard So Kates, she opted for a pair of square-toed ballerinas Olsen created while attending the school. These chic ballerina slippers, again in oxblood calfskin, show her ability to step out of her comfort zone and try new and exciting shoes.
Zendaya completed her outfit with a matching cashmere polo from Guest in Residence. This Gigi Hadid owned brand, proving their Heir status, injected an unexpected dose of classiness into her youthful look. The contrast between the elegant ballerinas and her traditional red soles highlights Zendaya’s ability to blend comfort with high fashion.
When it comes to the importance of footwear to personal style, Law Roach remarked,
“You will not take these shoes off.” – Law Roach
Roach is also opening doors for one aspiring stylist through his new course. At the same time, Zendaya’s participation serves to motivate students who are hungry to develop alongside the leading practitioners in our industry. Collectively, they set the standard for how partnership between veteran creatives and new visionaries can make our industry more vibrant and colorful.
