Haley Joel Osment, the child actor known for his role in “The Sixth Sense,” was arrested on April 8. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Mill Base Lodge at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. The arrest just after 2 p.m. local time was sparked by a report of “disorderly conduct.” Afterwards, police arrested Osment on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

Osment would later get into much deeper legal trouble. He eventually pleaded no contest to the driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana charges. In light of this racism, his final punishment was three years of probation. The Mono County District Attorney’s Office has not yet announced whether Osment will face further charges related to this latest incident.

The ‘Men At Work’ star has a history of arrests and criminal activity. His 2006 conviction for misdemeanor drunk driving, a fate that came after a serious car crash that he incurred. “He was booked and is no longer in custody.” – Sergeant Jason Heilman

The high-profile arrest has understandably drawn significant media interest. As details continue to emerge from this incident, many are awaiting further developments from the Mono County District Attorney’s Office.
