DC Studios is preparing to launch its own era with a hugely anticipated new standalone Superman film, written and directed by the similarly lauded James Gunn. After appearing in several big-budget projects, actor David Corenswet plays the iconic role of the Man of Steel in the film. He’s supported by an equally strong cast, with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Wendell Pierce as Perry White. The drama is scheduled to release in theaters on July 11, 2025. Fans will be able to see it in IMAX, delivering a truly immersive cinematic experience!
Apart from our main characters, the film brings in a number of other significant DC Universe figures. Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho. Additionally, model Sara Sampaio joins the cast as Eve Teschmacher, Lex Luthor’s assistant and love interest, complicating things even more. Character actors Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell have been cast as “Ma” and “Pa” Kent, injecting the usual drama into Superman’s origin story.
Milly Alcock will make her debut as Supergirl in this film, marking a significant moment for fans eager to see the character on screen. Her opening is incredible! It fits like a glove then with the reported development of a standalone “Woman of Tomorrow” movie with Supergirl. Edi Gathegi will portray Mr. Terrific, while Nathan Fillion takes on the role of Guy Gardner, expanding the film’s roster of superheroes.
