Aesha Scott, a well-known star on Bravo’s reality television, is preparing for her upcoming marriage to fiancé Scott “Scotty” Dobson. The pair first made their engagement public in June 2023 and are set to marry in New Zealand in March 2025. Scott also plans to wait until January 2026 to start dress shopping. Despite nearly a year ahead of the ceremony, she embraces a “last minute” philosophy in planning, stating, “I’m very much a last minute, everything comes alive kind of girl.” Her married friends have cautioned her that the time constraints are a bit of a challenge. They warn that waiting until just two months before the wedding to select a dress might be cutting it close, particularly if alterations are needed.
“I just have had so much [going] on, I haven’t really dived into the whole process,” Scott admitted. She remains optimistic about her plans. In a recent statement, she noted, “Because apparently wedding dress alterations, to get them really fitted true to size, can take two or three months because they get so backed up.” This understanding gives her a glimpse into the real struggles that come with the wedding planning journey.
In fact, she intends to begin shopping for a gown come January. In contrast, Scott is considering starting his search even sooner, possibly as early as Oct. 2025. In that dream, she imagines a classic wedding dress. She would rather design a basic boob tube dress thinking it’s timeless. “I mean, not that I’m ever going to wear it again, but I just want something a little bit more timeless,” she explained.
Scott’s plans go beyond wedding dress shopping. The couple have ordered fizzy drinks for the reception.
