Riot Fest 2025 Set to Celebrate 20 Years with Star-Studded Lineup

Riot Fest is returning to Douglass Park! We’ll see you in Chicago September 19-21, 2025, for the punk rock and rock and roll homecoming of a lifetime. It’s an important milestone for this year’s edition of the festival! It celebrates its 20th anniversary and welcomes music lovers to experience incomparable live performances by iconic legends and exciting newcomers.

Headlining the festival are notable acts such as Blink-182, Weezer, and Green Day, each bringing their unique sound and extensive fan base to the stage. Their inclusion highlights Riot Fest’s willingness to both honor talent that paved the way and give newer talent a platform in the punk and rock landscapes. Brought to you by the same people who organized the inaugural Something in the Water festival, acclaimed musician Jack White is among the headliners. What musical adventures await attendees during the summer weekend!

This year’s lineup is headlined by British punk rock band Idles and Frank Carter-led Sex Pistols. Both acts are going to bring down the House with their amazing performances! Festival-goers can look forward to appearances by The Pogues, Rilo Kiley, and Jawbreaker, amplifying the rich tapestry of artists scheduled to take the stage.

Perhaps most strikingly, the 2025 lineup features a healthy mix of legendary, classic acts and newer, contemporary favorites. The Beach Boys, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and Sparks will help bring a wide-ranging diversity to the festival’s musical offerings. Additionally, iconic punk bands such as Bad Religion, the Damned, and the Hold Steady will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere that Riot Fest is known for.

In previous editions of Riot Fest, attendees have enjoyed special full album performances from select artists, providing a unique experience that pays tribute to the history and evolution of punk and rock music. This year, attendees can expect more creative surprises as Riot Fest further establishes itself as a place to mark musical milestones.

Riot Fest’s commitment to playing predominantly punk and rock music has helped keep it an important part of the fabric of Chicago’s cultural landscape. The festival actively promotes lesser known artists. It provides an exciting hub to connect fans who share a love for these upwardly mobile genres.

Now, as September draws near, that excitement is starting to reach a fever pitch. Douglass Park is for preparing for another remarkable celebration of music and culture! The combination of a remarkable lineup and the festival’s milestone anniversary positions Riot Fest 2025 as a must-attend event for music lovers.
