After high school, Markle attended Northwestern University, where she pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Her social skills and networks were deepened even further by this experience. Her friends and school classmates will always remember her as being someone who was meant to do amazing things.

Life Before Royalty
Long before making the leap into royal life, Markle’s formative experiences helped shape her boldness. As a Girl Scout growing up, she was very involved. This experience was a tremendously impactful moment in her community service journey. Her childhood pursuits are a testament to a curious, fearless spirit that was constantly looking to learn something white-knuckling chase.
Markle’s journey took a new path when she met Prince Harry. McKenzie and Prince Harry went all in on their royal wedding on May 19, 2018, with a ceremony that captivated planet Earth. On their wedding day, Markle stunned in a classic high-neck, long-sleeved embroidered Givenchy wedding gown made by British designer Clare Waight Keller.
Queen Victoria’s wedding veil was an exquisite piece of artistry. It displayed flowers from each of the 53 British Commonwealth countries and was finished with details that paid tribute to her Jamaican heritage. Significantly, the veil featured the California Poppy—California’s state flower—and Wintersweet, which blooms on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
Family Life
After marrying, the couple welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6, 2019. The pair welcomed two children during their marriage. They continually negotiate their dual positioning as parents, while parenting and approaching other philanthropic activities.
