Indie-rock legends Built to Spill have shared the news of an absolutely stellar co-headlining summer tour with other indie-rock legends Yo La Tengo. The tour officially starts on July 10th in Atlanta, Georgia. It will journey to a dozen cities throughout the United States and wrap up on July 18 in Louisville, Kentucky.
The eight-date tour will feature both talented acts, giving fans a perfect chance to hear their distinct sounds up-close. Built to Spill, known for their engaging performances, will perform at prestigious venues throughout the tour. The announcement comes on the heels of Built to Spill’s recent activities, as the group is currently touring the country this spring with several multi-night residencies at select locations.
In 2022, Built to Spill returned with their first new studio album in five years, When the Wind Forgets Your Name. This year, they returned with the brilliant “This Stupid World,” which features a five-song companion EP called “The Bunker Sessions.” Both albums have been celebrated in reception with fans and critics alike.
Prior to the summer tour, Built to Spill is actively touring with several performances scheduled across various cities. Their recently announced spring tour will bring them to Baton Rouge, Houston, Austin and Dallas, to name a few. The band plans on making several stops at several venues throughout San Francisco. This extended residency is yet another testament to their commitment to curating unforgettable live music experiences.
