The 52-year-old actress posted the rare emotional family throwback picture. It includes her sisters, Susannah and Melissa, an extended look at the deep emotional connection that exists between all three of them.

This year is particularly special for Garner. Here, she shares some of her fond memories of her dad, William, who died on March 30, 2024. As we all reflect on this anniversary she called her mom in Baton Rouge for an hour-long discussion on April 8th. In her post, she noted that her mom spent half of their conversation expressing her gratitude and the other half sharing laughter.
In her Instagram post, Garner attempted to comfort her followers by letting them know that her mother is doing well after the death of her father. As she said, “We laid our dad to rest a year ago today. Thanks for all your concern, friends, everyone I talk to asks how my mom is doing. She loves and misses Dad (of course, he was the best and they were such a great time), but Mom is determined to live.
The actress paid tribute to her mother’s remarkable courage throughout this trying time. She appreciated all the happy memories they had built together as a family. Garner’s emotional sentiments rang clear. “You are the baddest, flyest role model, Mama, I love you, Hi Dada, we love you too!” he told them.
