Passion Pit to Launch New York Residency at Deluxx Fluxx

Passion Pit, DJs, and surprise guests galore, just announced — get ready for the greatest party in New York City’s history! It runs until April 29, 2025. The legendary Indie-Pop band, fronted by Michael Angelakos, returns to the stage! They’ll be doing public performances every Tuesday and Wednesday for four weeks in a row. Each performance is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

The residency culminates with performances on April 29 th and 30 th. Fans are in for a treat with an incredible cocktail of familiar IP and new material from Angelakos’s forthcoming creative opus Nine Times Your Torch Song. This “demo archive,” which he is releasing through Substack, promises to showcase the evolution of his music and engage long-time followers and new listeners alike.

Following their first shows in four years, Passion Pit surely will have that high rolling. With shows planned for May 6 and 7, May 13 and 14, ending with their last two performances on May 20 and 21. This long engagement gives fans lots of options to catch the band’s one-of-a-kind sound up close and personal.

Deluxx Fluxx’s current home is Webster Hall’s basement. It’s a captivating setting for live music, which only adds to the anticipation surrounding this year’s residency. The smaller venue accommodates a very limited number of attendees, which provides an incredibly intimate concert environment. That intimacy creates an incredibly powerful bond between the artists and their audience.

In addition to celebrating past hits, the residency marks a significant moment for Angelakos as he introduces new works from Nine Times Your Torch Song. This new album will explore deeper still into the lush emotional territory that Passion Pit is known for. Alongside this, it will push to new lyrical and sonic concepts.
