Playboi Carti has finally released his much-anticipated studio album titled "Music," marking his first full-length project since 2020's "Whole Lotta Red." The new album, which features an impressive lineup of guest artists, is now available for fans to enjoy. However, the highly anticipated track "All Red," which was released as a single prior to the album, is notably absent from the final tracklist.
The 30-track album boasts collaborations with renowned artists such as Travis Scott, the Weeknd, Skepta, Future, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $ign, and Young Thug. Songs like "Popular" and "Timeless" see Carti teaming up with the Weeknd, while "Fe!n" features Travis Scott. Other notable collaborations include "I Luv It" with Camilla Cabello and "Carnival" with ¥$.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from Playboi Carti since March 2021 when he teased the album with a cryptic message on social media.
"LeTs dr0p thiS new Album. w3 noT done" – Playboi Carti
Over the past months, Carti semi-officially shared snippets of songs like "2024," "Different Day," "H00dByAir," and "Backr00ms." Despite this, only "Ketamine" (now rebranded as "K Pop"), "Evil J0rdan," and "H00dByAir" (now titled "HBA") made it onto the final tracklist of "Music."
The release of this album comes after a turbulent period for Carti. In February 2023, he faced legal troubles following his arrest for allegedly assaulting and choking his then-pregnant girlfriend. Despite this controversy, Carti has pushed forward with the release of his new project.
