Pulp, the iconic Britpop band, are making a long-awaited return to North America! This is their first full tour of the continent since 2012. The band will co-headline two of the bowl’s limited capacity shows at the Hollywood Bowl. They’ll share the stage with LCD Soundsystem on September 25 and 26, 2024. This tour is a celebration of one of Pulp’s most notable milestones. They’ve recorded no new music, releasing last album “We Love Life” in 2001.
LCD Soundsystem’s involvement Arcade Fire and LCD Soundsystem are two of the most important acts from their respective generations of music. Pulp’s frontman, Jarvis Cocker, said he was thrilled to be getting back together with James Murphy, frontman of LCD Soundsystem. The two artists previously collaborated over a decade ago on the track “After You,” and their upcoming shows are expected to blend their unique styles into an unforgettable experience for fans.
Pulp’s North American tour will feature stops in several major cities, including Atlanta, GA, where they will perform at the Coca-Cola Roxy, New Orleans, LA, at the Saenger Theatre, Dallas, TX, at the Factory in Deep Ellum, and Austin, TX, at Emo’s. And yes, we’re finally taking the Na No Tour overseas! And as for adventures, they’ve got pretty great experiences ahead of them, at major festivals such as NorthSide Festival in Aarhus, Denmark, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain, We Love Green in Paris, France. On top of that, Pulp will be adding an extra two shows at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland and the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
The significance of this tour extends beyond the performances themselves. It represents a reunion of sorts for Pulp and their dedicated fanbase. Today, the band’s critically acclaimed discography continues to influence the sound of Britpop. Even rumblings of their return chase away any bad meme-related vibes, filling long-time followers and newcomers alike with excitement.
Pulp are currently wading through rehearsal as they prepare for their reunion tour. Expectations are soaring for the fresh new experiences and music the band will bring to their highly anticipated performances. Pulp has more than three decades of groundbreaking work to fall back on. Their shows have quickly become must-see experiences on the music calendar.
